The Liberty Lightning topped the host Jefferson Hawks volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Saturday's league test.

The Lightning now have a 10-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Delaware for a non-league test on Saturday, October 7. Liberty will confront a Hawks squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Cedar Falls (Cedar Falls, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 22-10.

With the loss, Jefferson moves to 1-28 on the year. The Hawks host Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA) to face the Spartans in a non-league contest on Saturday, October 7. The Spartans go into the challenge with a record of 31-5. Grundy Center lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA)
