The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the University Phoenix (Newark, NJ) and the visiting Newark Vocational Eagles (Newark, NJ), saw University's volleyball squad beat Newark Vocational by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, University upgrades its record to 7-6 on the year. The Phoenix travel to East Orange Campus (East Orange, NJ) to play the Jaguars in a Super Essex - Colonial bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 6-6. East Orange Campus won 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Science Park (Newark, NJ)

The Eagles now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host American History for a Freelance bout on Wednesday, October 11. Newark Vocational will play a Bald Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Golda Och Academy (West Orange, NJ). The Bald Eagles record now stands at 0-5.
