In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Wakefield School Fighting Owls volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the George C. Marshall Statesmen.
The Fighting Owls (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Yorktown (Arlington, VA). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record.
Next, the Statesmen meet the Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 9. George C. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Saxons come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA).
