Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Bland County improves its record to 7-5 on the season. The Bears travel to Auburn (Riner, VA) to face the Eagles in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 8. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 13-1.

The Mustangs now own a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Craig County for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 8. Eastern Montgomery will face a Rockets squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Rockets record now stands at 1-5.
