The Cardinals (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league outing with a 8-5 record. In their last outing, Carmel Christian tipped Gaston Day (Gastonia, NC), 3-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A outing, on Wednesday, October 9. Albemarle will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Tigers enter the outing with a 3-11 record after their 5-2 league win over South Stanly (Norwood, NC).
