In Monday's league outing, the visiting Tarboro Vikings soccer squad scored a tight 4-3 win over the Martin County Gators.

The Vikings (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against Perquimans (Hertford, NC). The Pirates enter the Four Rivers 1A outing with a 0-12 record. In their last outing, Perquimans was edged by North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC), 6-2, in a league outing.

Next up, the Gators confront the Washington Montessori Eagles (Washington, NC) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, October 9. Martin County will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 1-8 record after their 4-4 non-league Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC).
