Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the PikeView Panthers (Princeton, WV) and the visiting Summit Christian Academy Falcons (Princeton, WV), saw PikeView's soccer squad hold off Summit Christian Academy by a count of 2-1.

The Panthers (12-4) will now prepare for their battle against Midland Trail (Hico, WV). The Patriots enter the Coalfield AA battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, Midland Trail was edged by Summit Christian Academy (Princeton, WV), 10-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Falcons battle the Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 10. Summit Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 14-3 season record. The Beavers enter the battle with a 5-8 record after their 5-0 league loss to James Monroe (Lindside, WV).
