In Monday's league outing, the host Southern Lee Cavaliers soccer squad scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Scotland Fighting Scots.

The Cavaliers (14-2) will now prepare for their outing against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Patriots go into the Sandhills 3A/4A outing with a 10-2 record. In their last outing, Pinecrest got by Richmond (Rockingham, NC), 5-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Fighting Scots play the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A outing, on Wednesday, October 9. Scotland will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Vikings go into the outing with a 5-8 record after their 2-0 league loss to Lee County (Sanford, NC).
