In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Liberty Eagles softball team scored a tight 5-4 win over the Howell North Knights.

The Eagles (9-10) will now prepare for their match against Fort Zumwalt West (O'Fallon, MO). The Jaguars come into the non-league match with a 21-5 record. In their last match, Fort Zumwalt West was nipped by Troy-Buchanan (Troy, MO), 2-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Knights confront the Howell Central Spartans (St. Charles, MO) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, October 8. Howell North will attempt to better on its 9-14 season record. The Spartans come into the match with a 13-17 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to St. Dominic (O'Fallon, MO).
