The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Jackson Red Devils (Jackson, GA) and the visiting Strong Rock Christian Patriots (Locust Grove, GA), observed Jackson's softball team get by Strong Rock Christian by a tally of 10-4.

The Red Devils (6-22) will now prepare for their bout against Pike County (Zebulon, GA). The Pirates go into the 2A Region 2 bout with a 20-5 record. In their last bout, Pike County tipped Rutland (Macon, GA), 20-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Westfield School Hornets (Perry, GA) in a GIAA Class AAA & AAAA District 5 bout, on Tuesday, October 8. Strong Rock Christian will attempt to advance on its 12-10 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 8-4 league loss to Strong Rock Christian (Locust Grove, GA).
