In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Jackson County Generals volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Buckhorn Wildcats.

The Generals (9-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY). The Colonels enter the non-league challenge with a 13-4 record.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Leslie County Eagles (Hyden, KY) in a District 54 challenge, on Wednesday, October 9. Buckhorn will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 3-1 league win over Hazard (Hazard, KY).
