The Buckingham Knights volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Cumberland Dukes to 1 in the Knights league triumph on Monday.

The Knights now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lunenburg Central for a James River outing on Tuesday, October 8. Buckingham will play a Chargers team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Southampton (Courtland, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Cumberland drops to 3-9 on the campaign. The Dukes travel to Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA) to play the Statesmen in a James River outing on Tuesday, October 8. The Statesmen come into the outing with a record of 5-7. Randolph-Henry lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA)
