The Owego Free Academy River Hawks volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Corning-Painted Post Hawks to 0 in the River Hawks non-league triumph on Monday.

The River Hawks now have a 16-0 record. They play next when they travel to Chenango Forks for a Section 4 Southern Tier outing on Tuesday, October 8. Owego Free Academy will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Windsor Central (Windsor, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Corning-Painted Post drops to 12-2 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Union-Endicott (Endicott, NY) to play the Tigers in a Section 4 Southern Tier challenge on Thursday, October 10. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
