In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Narrows Green Waves volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Galax Maroon Tide.

The Green Waves (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bath County (Hot Springs, VA). The Chargers come into the Pioneer challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Bath County beat Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Maroon Tide play the Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) in a Mountain Empire contest, on Wednesday, October 9. Galax will attempt to move on its 2-13 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 8-3 record after their 3-1 league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA).
