Georgia High School Flag Football - Lowndes tops Cook

October 7, 2025: Valdosta, GA 31601

The Lowndes Vikings flag football squad scored 13 points and held the visiting Cook Hornets to 0 in the Vikings league victory on Tuesday.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Valdosta Wildcats (Valdosta, GA) in a D4 Area 1 challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. Lowndes will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 13-7 non-league loss to Appling County (Baxley, GA).

The Hornets (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Irwin County (Ocilla, GA). The Indians come into the D4 Area 1 test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Irwin County was defeated by Sumter County (Americus, GA), 13-6, in a non-league test.
