Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI), 3-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Cumberland moves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Clippers travel to Pilgrim (Warwick, RI) to clash with the Patriots in a Division 1 test on Thursday, October 9. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 0-12. Pilgrim 1-1 in their recent league outing against Scituate (North Scituate, RI)

Next up, the Chargers play the La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) in a Division 1 outing, on Thursday, October 9. Chariho will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Rams go into the outing with a 9-2 record after their 3-2 league loss to Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI).
