Canon-McMillan Big Macs (Canonsburg, PA) backers exited the stadium content Tuesday as they observed their ice hockey squad achieve victory over the visiting Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA), 6-1 in a league game.
With the win, Canon-McMillan moves its record to 2-2 on the year. The Big Macs host Freeport (Freeport, PA) to confront the Yellowjackets in a PIHL Class A Blue game on Tuesday, October 21. The Yellowjackets enter the game with a record of 1-0.
The Quakers now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Beaver for a PIHL Class A Blue contest on Thursday, October 9. Quaker Valley will play a Bobcats team coming off a 5-3 league win over Indiana (Indiana, PA). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-0.
