In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Albemarle Patriots volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Louisa County Lions.

The Patriots (10-1) will now prepare for their game against Orange County (Orange, VA). The Fighting Hornets go into the non-league game with a 1-11 record. In their last game, Orange County was nudged by Monticello (Charlottesville, VA), 2-0, in a non-league outing.

With the loss, Louisa County drops to 8-8 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Eastern View (Culpeper, VA) to play the Cyclones in a non-league outing on Monday, October 13. The Cyclones come into the outing with a record of 5-9. Eastern View lost 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA)
