The Alexander Central Cougars topped the visiting Freedom Patriots volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Tuesday's league game.
Next up, the Cougars confront the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a game, on Thursday, October 9. Alexander Central will attempt to advance on its 6-13 season record. The Spartans go into the game with a 15-3 record after their 2-1 non-league win over St. Stephens (Hickory, NC).
The Patriots (2-17) will now prepare for their game against McDowell (Marion, NC). The Titans come into the non-league outing with a 13-8 record. In their last outing, McDowell was topped by Watauga (Boone, NC), 2-0, in a non-league outing.
