Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their soccer squad triumph over the visiting Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA), 9-1 in a league outing.

The Fightin' Planets (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA). The Titans go into the WPIAL AAA 1 outing with a 11-4 record.

Next up, the River Hawks play the Kiski Area Cavaliers (Vandergrift, PA) in a WPIAL AAA 1 outing, on Thursday, October 9. Armstrong will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a 3-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to Indiana (Indiana, PA).
