Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the St. John's Pioneers (Shrewsbury, MA) and the visiting Boston College High Eagles (Boston, MA), saw St. John's's soccer squad hold off Boston College High by a score of 1-0.

The Pioneers (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Xaverian Brothers (Westwood, MA). The Hawks enter the Catholic battle with a 1-7 record. In their last battle, Xaverian Brothers was edged by Catholic Memorial (West Roxbury, MA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Eagles confront the St. John's Prep Eagles (Danvers, MA) in a Catholic test, on Thursday, October 9. Boston College High will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 10-1 record after their 5-1 league win over Malden Catholic (Malden, MA).
