The Delone Catholic Squires (McSherrystown, PA) soccer overwhelmed the host Fairfield Knights (Fairfield, PA), 6-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.
The Squires now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they host York Catholic for a York-Adams 3 challenge on Thursday, October 9. Delone Catholic will battle a Fighting Irish team coming off a 11-0 league win over Fairfield (Fairfield, PA). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 14-0.

Match Summary
The Squires shut out the Fairfield Knights 6-0 with scores in the first half starting with a cross from Dacosta Wivell #7 (senior) to Will Holtz #10 just a few minutes into the game. After the Squires went wide to the right side, Nico Scamardella #2 crossed the ball over to Holtz #10 for the 2nd goal. Dribbling from midfield in a 1v1 with the goalie Holtz #10 scored his hat trick goal of the game. Finishing out the half, Holtz #10 assisted Scamardella #2 with the 4th goal of the game. In the second half, the Squires started to mix in more off of the bench. Eight minutes in, Scamardella #2 scored again with a back heel pass by Holtz #10 for the 5th goal. Last goal of the game multiple Squires attempted a shot but Braden Gervasi #24 (senior) was the final touch before the ball was caught by the goalie over the line.
