In Tuesday's league outing, the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 win over the Pine Bush Bushmen.

The Goldbacks (8-1) will now prepare for their outing against Beacon (Beacon, NY). The Bulldogs enter the non-league outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Beacon edged Port Jervis (Port Jervis, NY), 8-0, in a non-league test.

The Bushmen now sport a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Middletown for a Section 9 Division I test on Thursday, October 9. Pine Bush will clash with a Middie Bears team coming off a 5-2 league loss to Kingston (Kingston, NY). The Middie Bears record now stands at 4-7.
