The Mustangs now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cassville for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 9. McDonald County will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 8-1 league win over Aurora (Aurora, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Monett moves to 4-12 on the season. The Cubs travel to Seneca (Seneca, MO) to meet the Indians in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 9. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 5-8. Seneca won 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Nevada (Nevada, MO)
