In Tuesday's league bout, the Spearville Lancers (Spearville, KS) volleyball team knocked off the host Ashland Blue Jays (Ashland, KS), by a count of 2-0.

The Lancers (24-4) will now prepare for their contest against South Gray (Montezuma, KS). The Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 25-2 record. In their last contest, South Gray notched a victory over Hodgeman County (Jetmore, KS), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Blue Jays now own a 6-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Central for a Southern Plains-Iroquois battle on Tuesday, October 14. Ashland will encounter a Timberwolves squad coming off a 0-0 league Minneola (Minneola, KS). The Timberwolves record now stands at 13-13.
