Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Laker Lakers (Pigeon, MI) and the visiting Bad Axe Hatchets (Bad Axe, MI), observed Laker's volleyball team hold off Bad Axe by a tally of 3-2.

The Lakers (13-13) will now prepare for their contest against Unionville-Sebewaing (Sebewaing, MI). The Patriots go into the Greater Thumb - West test with a 8-10 record.

The Hatchets now own a 15-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cass City for a Greater Thumb - West challenge on Tuesday, October 7. Bad Axe will meet a Red Hawks team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Millington (Millington, MI). The Red Hawks record now stands at 11-7.
