In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Manila Lions volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Central Cougars.
Next up, the Lions face the Hoxie Mustangs (Hoxie, AR) in a 3A 3 game, on Thursday, October 9. Manila will attempt to advance on its 9-8 season record. The Mustangs go into the game with a 9-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Newport (Newport, AR).
The Cougars (1-13) will now prepare for their game against Crowley's Ridge Academy (Paragould, AR). The Falcons go into the 3A 3 game with a 12-4 record. In their last game, Crowley's Ridge Academy gained a win over Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR), 3-0, in a league game.
