Illinois High School Volleyball - Coal City over Reed-Custer

In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Coal City Coalers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Reed-Custer Comets.

The Coalers (14-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers come into the Illinois Central Eight challenge with a 20-4 record. In their last challenge, Manteno lost by Wilmington (Wilmington, IL), 2-0, in a league test.

The Comets now sport a 3-22 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Peotone for a Illinois Central Eight test on Thursday, October 9. Reed-Custer will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Streator (Streator, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 16-8.
