In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Comanche Indians volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Eastland Mavericks.

The Indians (25-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Early (Early, TX). The Longhorns come into the 3A Region I District 8 challenge with a 16-5 record. In their last challenge, Early was nudged by Peaster (Peaster, TX), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Mavericks face the Breckenridge Buckaroos (Breckenridge, TX) in a 3A Region I District 8 game, on Friday, October 10. Eastland will attempt to advance on its 11-16 season record. The Buckaroos go into the outing with a 2-22 record after their 3-0 league loss to Tolar (Tolar, TX).
