The Panthers (20-11) will now prepare for their challenge against West Hardin (Saratoga, TX). The Oilers enter the 2A Region III District 24 challenge with a 11-14 record. In their last challenge, West Hardin beat Evadale (Evadale, TX), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Sharks meet the Deweyville Pirates (Deweyville, TX) in a 2A Region III District 24 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Sabine Pass will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Pirates enter the challenge with a 2-17 record after their 3-0 league loss to Danbury (Danbury, TX).
