The Dayton Pirates topped the visiting Taft Tigers volleyball team by a margin of 3-1 in Tuesday's league outing.

The Pirates now possess a 13-3 record. They play next when they host Blanchet Catholic for a 3A PacWest outing on Wednesday, October 8. Dayton will play a Cavaliers team coming off a 3-1 league win over Scio (Scio, OR). The Cavaliers record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Taft drops to 12-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Salem Academy (Salem, OR) to play the Crusaders in a 2A Tri-River outing on Thursday, October 9. The Crusaders come into the outing with a record of 13-5. Salem Academy won 3-1 in their recent league game against Santiam Christian (Corvallis, OR)
