The Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL) volleyball knocked off the visiting Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons (Gibson City, IL), 2-0 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Knights now possess a 11-14 record. They play next when they host Tremont for a Heart of Illinois bout on Thursday, October 9. Fieldcrest will clash with a Turks team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Turks record now stands at 13-13.
The Falcons (6-13) will now prepare for their match against LeRoy (LeRoy, IL). The Panthers enter the Heart of Illinois match with a 17-5 record. In their last match, LeRoy was outscored by El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL), 2-0, in a league match.
