Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Rural Vista [Hope/White City] Heat (Hope, KS) and the host Herington Railroaders (Herington, KS), observed Rural Vista [Hope/White City]'s volleyball team top Herington by a count of 3-1.

The Heat (17-11) will now prepare for their battle against Elyria Christian (McPherson, KS). The go into the non-league battle with a 13-16 record. In their last battle, Elyria Christian achieved victory over Peabody-Burns (Peabody, KS), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Railroaders now own a 8-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Solomon for a Wheat State battle on Thursday, October 9. Herington will encounter a Gorillas squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Little River (Little River, KS). The Gorillas record now stands at 9-19.
