North Carolina High School Volleyball - Hertford County tips Northeastern

October 7, 2025: Ahoskie, NC 27910

Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Hertford County improves its record to 6-10 on the season. The Bears host First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC) to face the Nighthawks in a Northeastern Coastal 3A/4A/5A test on Thursday, October 9. The Nighthawks go into the test with a record of 13-10. First Flight won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC)

The Eagles (5-13) will now prepare for their game against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech (Elizabeth City, NC). The Griffins go into the non-league game with a 9-15 record. In their last game, Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech was edged by First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC), 3-0, in a non-league game.
