The Highland Park Hornets volleyball squad (Amarillo, TX), was defeated 3-0 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX)

The Longhorns (15-19) will now prepare for their challenge against Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX). The Eagles enter the 2A Region I District 1 challenge with a 18-8 record. In their last challenge, Sanford-Fritch beat West Texas (Stinnett, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX) in a 2A Region I District 1 test, on Saturday, October 11. Highland Park will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Comanches go into the test with a 4-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX).
