Texas High School Volleyball - Pioneer tips McAllen Memorial

October 7, 2025: McAllen, TX 78501

The Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX) volleyball held off the host McAllen Memorial Mustangs (McAllen, TX), 3-2 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Diamondbacks now possess a 29-4 record. They take the field next when they host McAllen for a 5A Region IV District 31 contest on Saturday, October 11. Pioneer will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 23-13.

Next, the Mustangs battle the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 contest, on Saturday, October 11. McAllen Memorial will attempt to move on its 27-8 season record. The Sabercats enter the contest with a 30-6 record after their 3-0 league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX).
