Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Sheffield Bulldogs (Sheffield, AL) and the visiting Phil Campbell Bobcats (Phil Campbell, AL), observed Sheffield's volleyball team hold off Phil Campbell by a count of 3-2.
The Bulldogs (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Cherokee (Cherokee, AL). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 3-19 record. In their last contest, Cherokee was tipped by Red Bay (Red Bay, AL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Bobcats battle the Lynn Bears (Lynn, AL) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 9. Phil Campbell will attempt to improve on its 4-18 season record. The Bears go into the battle with a 11-13 record after their 3-0 league win over Hubbertville (Fayette, AL).
