With the win, Pine Island improves its record to 12-7 on the season. The Panthers travel to Lewiston-Altura (Lewiston, MN) to play the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 9. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 10-10. Lewiston-Altura lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Alden-Conger (Alden, MN)

In their next game, the Cougars face the Centennial Cougars (Circle Pines, MN) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 10. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will attempt to advance on its 8-10 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 15-8 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN).
