Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the St. Marys Flying Dutch (St. Marys, PA) and the visiting Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA), observed St. Marys's volleyball team top Punxsutawney by a count of 3-0.

The Flying Dutch (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Bradford (Bradford, PA). The Owls enter the Laurel contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Bradford was knocked off by DuBois Central Catholic (DuBois, PA), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Chucks battle the DuBois Beavers (DuBois, PA) in a Laurel battle, on Thursday, October 9. Punxsutawney will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Beavers go into the battle with a 6-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Johnsonburg (Johnsonburg, PA).
