The South Columbus Stallions volleyball squad (Tabor City, NC), was edged 3-2 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC)

With the win, West Bladen upgrades its record to 14-2 on the year. The Knights host South Brunswick (Southport, NC) to meet the Cougars in a Southeastern 3A/4A/5A contest on Thursday, October 9. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 14-5. South Brunswick won 3-0 in their recent league test against Fairmont (Fairmont, NC)

The Stallions now own a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Whiteville for a Southeastern 3A/4A/5A test on Thursday, October 9. South Columbus will encounter a Wolfpack squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Red Springs (Red Springs, NC). The Wolfpack record now stands at 2-14.
