The William Byrd Terriers volleyball squad (Vinton, VA), was edged 3-2 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA)

The Golden Eagles (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Colonels enter the Blue Ridge contest with a 1-14 record. In their last battle, Fleming was edged by Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Terriers now own a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northside for a Blue Ridge battle on Thursday, October 9. William Byrd will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-13.
