In Saturday's league match, the visiting Hickory Hawks Hawks football squad scored a close 12-6 victory over the North Wake Saints Saints.

In their next game, the Hawks clash with the Virginia Spartans Spartans (Roanoke, VA) in a North Carolina Independent match, on Friday, October 14. Hickory Hawks will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 12-0 league loss to South Wake (Apex, NC).

The Saints (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Carolina Bearcats (Charlotte, NC). The Bearcats enter the North Carolina Independent match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Carolina Bearcats held off Sandhills Titans (Fayetteville, NC), 26-6, in a league match.
