Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT), 6-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Chiefs confront the Terryville Kangaroos (Terryville, CT) in a Berkshire challenge, on Tuesday, October 11. Nonnewaug will attempt to better on its 10-0 season record. The Kangaroos enter the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 2-0 league loss to Thomaston (Thomaston, CT).

The Spartans now have a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they host Gilbert for a Berkshire challenge on Tuesday, October 11. Shepaug Valley will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 7-1 league loss to Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-6.
