The Galeton Tigers held off the host Port Allegany Gators soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league match.
The Tigers now sport a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wellsboro for a North Tier match on Tuesday, October 11. Galeton will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Montoursville (Montoursville, PA). The Hornets record now stands at 12-2.
With the loss, Port Allegany drops to 11-2 on the season. The Gators travel to Elk County Catholic (St. Marys, PA) to encounter the Crusaders in a UAVSL Boys North match on Monday, October 10. The Crusaders come into the match with a record of 9-5. Elk County Catholic lost 2-1 in their recent league match against Ridgway (Ridgway, PA)
