In Saturday's non-league contest, the Birmingham Patriots (Lake Balboa, CA) volleyball squad knocked off the host Kennedy Cougars (Granada Hills, CA), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Patriots battle the Heritage Christian Warriors (Northridge, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 8. Birmingham will attempt to better on its 15-10 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 5-12 record after their 3-1 league win over Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA).

With the loss, Kennedy drops to 14-16 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Canoga Park (Canoga Park, CA) to battle the Hunters in a Valley Mission contest on Monday, October 10. The Hunters come into the contest with a record of 7-15. Canoga Park lost 3-1 in their recent league contest against Van Nuys (Van Nuys, CA)
