James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV), 2-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Mavericks clash with the Richwood Lumberjacks (Richwood, WV) in a non-league match, on Saturday, October 8. James Monroe will attempt to advance on its 22-12 season record. The Lumberjacks come into the match with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Webster County (Upper Glade, WV).

With the loss, Midland Trail drops to 0-10 on the campaign.
