The Midland Trail Patriots volleyball team (Hico, WV), was dropped 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Meadow Bridge Wildcats (Meadow Bridge, WV)

The Wildcats (5-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Summers County (Hinton, WV). The Bobcats enter the non-league challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Summers County was dropped by Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Patriots meet the James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 8. Midland Trail will attempt to move on its 0-9 season record. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a 18-10 record after their 2-0 league win over Charleston Catholic (Charleston, WV).
