Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC) and the host North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC), observed Central Davidson's volleyball team hold off North Davidson by a count of 2-1.

The Spartans (17-2) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Grizzlies come into the non-league bout with a 15-4 record. In their last bout, Oak Grove nipped Montgomery Central (Troy, NC), 2-0, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, North Davidson drops to 20-1 on the campaign. The Black knights travel to Ledford (Thomasville, NC) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 10. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 5-8. Ledford won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Asheboro (Asheboro, NC)
