In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Randolph-Henry Statesmen volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Cumberland Dukes.

The Statesmen (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Buckingham lost by Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Dukes play the Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 10. Cumberland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA).
