The Athens Wildcats soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Galeton Tigers to 0 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to North Penn-Liberty for a North Tier bout on Thursday, October 10. Athens will play a Mountie squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Towanda (Towanda, PA). The Mountie record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Galeton moves to 5-11 on the year. The Tigers travel to Northeast Bradford (Rome, PA) to play the Panthers in a North Tier bout on Thursday, October 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Northeast Bradford lost 9-0 in their recent league bout against Wellsboro (Wellsboro, PA)
